Today I bought one of those reusable grocery bags that are popping up all over the place. I'd hesitated before because they always look so small on the display rack, but while shopping at the commissary I got disgusted with the overuse of plastic bags and picked up 2 "green" bags. They are actually pretty nice. Even though on the display rack it looks like they could barely hold my old calculus book, they are actually about the size your standard brown grocery bag. I'll keep one in the car for when I go out.
On a different note, Lending Club has temporarily stopped accepting new lenders and new commitments from existing lenders. They say they have "started a process to register, with the appropriate securities authorities, promissory notes that may be offered and sold to lenders through our site in the future." Hopefully this means good things to come in the future. For the present, I'm slightly disgruntled with them for not allowing me continue my reinvestment strategy. Right now the effects are very minor, so I'm hoping this will only be for a week or two. On the bright side, mattress boy paid up so now I only have 1 loan out of 224 that is delinquent.
