Step 1: Find an old( or new) piece of junk you are no longer using
Step 2: Place an add on craigslist for free.
Step 3: Reap the profit once the sale goes through.
This week I sold an item on craigslist for $40. It's really amazing what will sell and what gets ignored. I placed two items for sale at the same time, and I though that surely the other one would sell first.
Of course, since you have to buy the item in the first place, is is not really profit since you are actually just getting back it's residual value. Or when you upgrade to a better item and sell the old one(like a cell phone) I like to think I'm discounting the price of the new item. Kinda like a car trade in, only it works with any item you can sell. Shortly I'm going to discount the price of a new digital camera.
I also discovered this week that ebay has a craigslist competitor site called Kijiji . It seems kind of strange since ebay also owns 28% of craigslist.
