It's been 2 weeks since I first started the Aerogarden up again(last year it was chili peppers). I know because the feed and water lights were flashing when I came home today. It has a built-in timer so that every 2 weeks the "Add nutrient" and "Water Level low" lights blink to remind you to feed your plants. I'm not really sure if the Water Level Low light does anything besides come on every two weeks. The garden looks like it has a sensor in the base to let you know when water level is low, but I've never seen it blink because of low water level alone. Maybe I'm filling it wrong. Oh well. In the first month or so the water level hardly lowers at all because the plants are so small. As they get bigger their water consumption rises and you have to check them every 3 or 4 days. Today you can clearly see the 3rd leaf coming in on each plant, and if you look closely you can see a 4th leaf opposite the 3rd on each plant. So today I fed and watered my plants.
